35th Annual Rocket Run Ten Miler

$5.00 before 14 March 2009.
$10.00 late-registration and race day.
Race number pickup and late registration are available at FleetFeet
on Friday, March 20, 2009 from 10 am to 7 pm.
Race day registration and race number pickup will begin at
7:00 AM at the Old Brick Church in Mooresville.

Prize

Real Estate are our generous prize money sponsors for this year’s race.
1st, 2nd, 3rd
overall male and female: $250, $100,
$50 respectively. 1st
Masters male and female: $150. 1st
GrandMasters male and female: $50. Prize money winners can double or triple dip
prize money.
Awards: Prize money winners are not
eligible for age group awards which will be presented to the top 3 finishers in
the following male and female age groups:
0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,
55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Course
Support: The course will be
marked and the racers will be supported by deputies from Limestone County
Sheriff Department. There will be 2
aid stations with water and Gatorade, the first one will be revisited before
the last mile. Mile markers will be
present and some split times provided.
Post-race fruit and cookies will be available.
Course
Description: Ten Mile race to be run on certified course (AL03011JD)
in Limestone County. Click here for a course map. Course is on paved roads and is mostly flat
and fast with one out-and-back (2+ miles) and one loop. Race starts and ends in Mooresville. There will be no 5k race this year.
Facilities:
There are no rest rooms in the Old Brick Church!!! Some portapotties
will be rented.

Please note: Due to liability insurance requirements and for
your safety and the safety of runners around you the following are not
allowed during the race: strollers, baby joggers, skateboards, bicycles,
animals, roller blades, headphones, unauthorized vehicles, unentered
runners, etc. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
HEADPHONES
ARE ILLEGAL UNDER USATF REGULATIONS. For
your safety and the safety of those around you we ask that you DO NOT RUN WITH
THEM or risk disqualification.
Directions to the race: From I-565 take exit 2 for Mooresville Rd,
turn left over interstate (if going west), then right on Old Hwy 20. There will be traffic marshals there to
direct parking along Old Hwy 20.
Mooresville is immediately to the South.
On foot, take the middle passage through town, High Street to
Lauderdale, turn left, the Old Brick Church is on the left beyond the Post
Office.

Race Waiver: I,
individually, (and/or as parent, and/or guardian of the named minor) for and in
consideration of acceptance of this entry in the aforementioned event, do
hereby release, remise, waive, and forever discharge the Road Runners Club of
America, Huntsville Track Club and any and all other supporting groups of this
said racing event, together with all their officers, agents, officials and
employees, from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of
action whatsoever arising out of, or relating to any injury, illness, loss, or
damage, including death, relating to participation in the aforesaid event. I further state I am in proper physical
condition to participate in this event. In addition, I agree that my
participation in this event requires that I will not participate with roller
blades, baby joggers, skateboards, animals, headphones, or anything which the
race director deems dangerous to myself or other participants and that the race
director may remove me from this event for a violation of said policy. I further grant permission to this race and
the organization conducting the race and/or agents authorized by them to use
any photographs, videotapes, motion picture, recordings and any other record of
this event for any purpose. I also agree
that if the event is cancelled for any reason that all entry fees are
non-refundable and this entry is non-transferable.
