Huntsville Hospital/HTC Autumn Chase Fun Runs

Come out to Jaycees Building off Airport Road on Thursday, September 20, 2012 (rain date September 27, 2012) to take part in the 30th Annual Autumn Chase 1 Mile Fun Runs.  The fun run is free for all kids pre-school through 8th grade.  This is a great opportunity for your child to come out and experience the joys of running.  The 1 mile course takes place on the grounds of the old Airport near the current Jaycees Building.  All children will receive a T-shirt and finish line ribbon to remember their accomplishment.

 

All children will run only with kids in their grade level with separate races for boys and girls (Pre-school and Kindergarten, as well as 6th through 8th grades run together but separate races for boys and girls). 

 

We will also hold a Fun Run for school staff, administration and faculty members at 5:00 p.m. Encourage everyone to run! 

 

While awards are given to the top 10 runners in each grade (medals for 1st through 3rd and ribbons for 4th through 10th), the emphasis is on health, fun and just completing the run.  The schedule of races is as follows (arrive early to park and register – last year over 2500 parents and students were gathered for this family event!).

 

Boys Pre-school, Kindergarten – 4:00 p.m.

Girls Pre-school, Kindergarten – 4:15 p.m.

Boys First Grade - 4:30 p.m.

Girls First Grade - 4:45 p.m.

Staff/Administration/Faculty Race - 5:00 p.m.

Boys Second Grade – 5:05 p.m.

Girls Second Grade - 5:15 p.m.

Boys Third Grade - 5:30 p.m.

Girls Third Grade - 5:45 p.m.

Boys Fourth & Fifth Grade - 6:00 p.m.

Girls Fourth & Fifth Grade - 6:10 p.m.

Boys Sixth/Seventh/Eighth Grade - 6:20 p.m.

Girls Sixth/Seventh/Eighth Grade - 6:30 p.m.
