Appreciation Award - LOU HOVATTER

This person is LOYAL to the Huntsville Track Club. She has supported our events for years. She is ORGANIZED. She never misses a detail. She UNDERSTANDS that not all of are as organized as she is.

She can be more HELPFUL than perhaps anyone in the city when it comes to making multiple things happen. Especially when it comes to cones, barricades, police, the mayor and everything else that has to do with the city. She can do it all! This is definitely makes her an OVER ACHIEVER. Her services are VALUABLE that the Rocket City Marathon, Cotton Row Run , Big Spring Jam, Autumn Chase, The Cross Country Runs and many other races would not occur with her. She is also ACTIVE in the running community. She has been up early in the morning helping other race directors but she has also served as the Race Director for the Big Spring Jam. Now don’t think that she is just a push over - she is one TOUGH lady! Who else could get the streets of Chaney Thompson cleaned up the day before the marathon by hand. That’s right totally swept by hand! And she has to be to TOLERATE all of us or at least she has to tolerate me! On race morning it’s always great to see her full of ENERGY and EXCITEMENT. And I know that if I have a problem she can help me solve it!

And I know from my personal experience that she is so RELIABLE, I can just trust that when she says something is taken care of…it is done!
